My Cancer Story...So Far

I am amazed that I am dealing with cancer. A lot of things change as a result of cancer showing up on my plate. It wasn't what I had requested. In fact, I had pretty much lived in a way that put my chances of getting cancer on the low end. But here I am.

This is the story of my process, starting with the discovery, and on through the present. My writing is not pretty, nor is it amazingly well written. It is my chronicle of my journey. Having said that, I am confident that the lessons I am learning along the way are universal lessons. Perhaps your struggle is with divorce, or depression, or Lou Gehrig's, or a host of other struggles that we must face as humans. Maybe, just maybe things I am learning can be gleaned for your life.

  1. Paul,
I'm so very sorry to hear that you have been battling cancer. Scott and I had no idea until I clicked on Jennifer's link to your blog tonight. We will most definitely keep you and your family in our prayers!!! As a side note, you are a gifted writer...you should consider writing a book about your experience once you win this battle, maybe it could be the blessing in this horrible disguise.
    Blessings and health to you,
    Gita Haij

    1. Gita,
Than you for your concern and prayers. That means so much to Jennifer and me. The prayers of friends and family have been sustaining our family.
Thank you for you kind words about my writing. Yes, wouldn't that be a blessing in disguise.

    1. Heidi, thank you for checking in on me. That means so much. I am really happy that the interview with Andy was inspirational. For now, I am ahead of the curve with cancer. In March my exam revealed no evidence. It doesn't get me out of the woods, but that does give me hope.
      Again, thanks for checking.
